Hon’ble Governor of Chhattisgarh has appointed Dr. Ram Shankar Kureel, former Director of Institute of Horticulture Technology, Greater Noida as the first vice-chancellor has been appointed for the Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture and Forestry, Chhattisgarh. Dr. R.S.Kureel has also served as Vice Chancellor of Birsa Agriculture University. Acharya Narendra Dev University of Agriculture & Technology, Ayodhya, UP, previously, he was also appointed as Founder- VC of Dr BR Ambedkar University of Social Sciences (BRAUSS), Indore, MP.

The Management, faculty and non-teaching staff of Institute of Horticulture Technology, Greater Noida wishes Dr. R.S.Kureel success as first vice chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture and Forestry, Chhattisgarh. During the tenure as Director in the institute Dr. Kureel connected well with the staff and took active role in organising national and international events. He guided the Institute in developing/drafting course modules in line with the requirements of the trainees. Everyone in IHT is really going to miss him but hope Dr. Kureel will continue to shower love and support.
